How to Get to San Pedro, Belize from Belize City Airport

To start this itinerary, we need to travel to San Pedro from Belize City’s Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport (BZE), you have two main options: a short flight or a water taxi. The quickest way is to take a domestic flight with airlines like Tropic Air or Maya Island Air, which takes about 15 minutes and offers stunning aerial views of the Caribbean Sea. Alternatively, you can take a taxi from the airport to the Belize City water taxi terminal, which is a 20-30 minute ride. From there, hop on a water taxi, such as San Pedro Belize Express or Ocean Ferry, for a scenic 1.5-hour ride to San Pedro. Both options provide convenient and picturesque ways to start your island adventure. We chose to fly, which I highly recommend for its speed and convenience.

The view from the plane was remarkable.
